TVS Owned, Norton Motorcycles Will Produce Bike In India From 2025
Norton motorcycles was taken over by TVS back in 2020 and an investment update was share by the company in 2022. Following that new Norton is planning to launch 5-all new motorcycles in the next 3 years. But the bigger new follows that the motorcycles will be made-in-India from 2025.
While the production facility in UK continues to be functional for Norton, TVS will be aiding in for development and production in India. New big bikes from Norton can be expected to be sold in India as well as ready for exports.
Motorcycles like the Norton Fastback, Atlas, Commando and Manx were trademarked when the takeover had happened. While there is a speculation for 6 all-new motorcycles to be launched in the next 3 years.
TVS currently works with BMW for the development of the 310cc motorcycle and upcoming CE 02 electric scooter. Similarly the vehicles are made in the Hosur facility in India. For Norton, India will become another country for the bikes to be produced from.
We are unclear on the pricing and the actual models which are supposed to be launched or in the pipeline but will you pick any motorcycle from Norton? What models and the capacity do you expect TVS will bring in with Norton motorcycles?
