Kia EV6 Launch Price

Hyundai had issued a voluntary recall recently to fix a potential issue with the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) on the IONIQ 5 and now Hyundai’s sister brand Kia has recalled the EV6 for a similar issue.

1138 units of the Kia EV6 manufactured between 3rd March 2022 and 14th April 2024 are a part of this recall and the vehicles will be fixed free of cost. Kia has notified the MoRTH about this recall and customers will be notified to bring in their vehicles for a software upgrade.

An error with the ICCU could affect the vehicle’s 12V auxiliary battery that powers the headlights, sound system and air conditioning system. The ICCU’s software controls the charging and discharging of the aux battery and hence it will be fixed through a software update.
