Bajaj teases the toggle button to switch between CNG and petrol modes
Bajaj Auto has officially teased its upcoming CNG bike, set for launch on 5th July. The teaser, while not revealing extensive details, provides a glimpse into some of the bike’s notable features and design elements.
One of the standout features of the Bajaj CNG bike is its ability to switch between CNG and petrol. This functionality is controlled by a switch located on the left-hand switch cube, positioned just below the indicator arrows. This dual-fuel system will allow both CNG and petrol to be stored separately onboard, providing flexibility and convenience for riders.
Technical specifications have not been revealed yet but we believe the bike will be powered by a 100-125cc engine. It will be a commuter motorcycle that will offer high fuel efficiency figures.
The teaser also highlights some design aspects of the bike. It will sport a round LED headlight and a long, flat bench-style seat, suggesting a blend of practicality and style. Additionally, the bike features twin 5-spoke alloy wheels for its robust and utilitarian design without compromising on aesthetics.
While detailed engineering specifications remain under wraps, the teaser indicates thoughtful engineering aimed at delivering a practical yet advanced riding experience. The company has previously filed trademarks for several names, including Marathon, Trekker, Freedom, Glider, and Fighter, leading to speculation about the possible name for this innovative bike.
As the launch date approaches, anticipation is building around this unique offering from Bajaj. The ability to toggle between CNG and petrol, combined with its practical design, positions the bike as a potentially game-changing addition to the market.
The bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 70,000-80,000/- (ex-showroom). What are your thoughts on the world’s first CNG powered motorcycle? Let us know in the comments section below.
