Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition launched with a starting price of Rs. 24.24 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom). Only 2500 units of this limited edition are available for sale. The Indian UV maker is offering the special edition in 3 variants – AX7 L Diesel MT 7 Seater (Rs. 24.24 lakhs), AX7 L Petrol AT 7 Seater (Rs. 25.54 lakhs) and AX7 L Diesel AT 7 Seater (Rs. 26.04 lakhs).
It is exclusively available in FWD 7 seater variants, there are no AWD variants available in the Blaze edition. Compared to the regular trims, the special edition is around Rs. 25,000/- more expensive for these cosmetic changes.
The exterior of the Blaze edition comes with matte blaze red colour option along with black contrasting elements including the roof with Napoli Black colour, black grille, black ORVMs and black painted alloy wheels.
The interior also gets all-black theme with red contrasting elements on the stitching of the upholstery, red accents on the AC vents and red highlights on the centre console.
There are no changes in terms of the features on offer and of course no mechanical changes as well. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol mStallion engine produces 200 HP and 380 Nm of torque. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine produces 185 HP and 420 Nm of torque. The diesel AT combo makes 450 Nm of torque.
We believe the carmaker is trying to push the sales of the XUV700 as it is nearing its mid-cycle update. The SUV was launched 4 years back in 2020 and it is long due for an update, which is likely to be renamed as Mahindra XUV 7XO, following their latest nomenclature starting with the Mahindra XUV 3XO. The updated model is likely to get substantial visual tweaks and new features.
