Tata Curvv EV spotted under heavy camouflage at a charging station in India
Tata Motors is all set to introduce a unique body type in the mass market segment of the Indian automotive industry with its upcoming model, the Curvv, a coupe SUV set to be available in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) variants.
Showcased at various events including the Auto Expo in its concept form and the Bharat Mobility Show in its production-ready avatar, the Curvv has garnered significant attention from the Indian audience.
The Tata Curvv EV has been recently spotted at a charging station during a test run. It gets a front grille mounted charging port, reminiscent of Tata’s Punch EV model. However, unlike the Punch EV’s spring release mechanism, the Curvv EV is expected to feature a motorised flap for added convenience.
The exterior design of the Curvv is unique, with a full-length LED light bar running across the front fascia, complemented by split LED headlamps and a distinctive vertical slat-patterned lower grille. The coupe-like body style sets it apart from its competitors, with Mahindra and Citroen all exploring similar designs.
In terms of features, the Curvv EV is expected to be technologically advanced, boasting Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree surround camera, blind spot monitoring and dual 12.5-inch screens for the infotainment and instrument panel. Additional features will include automatic climate control, twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, wireless charging, powered and ventilated front seats and a sunroof.
The Curvv EV is expected to come with multiple battery pack options. The range topping version is expected to be capable of delivering up to 500 km of driving range on a single charge.
