MG preparing to launch Excelor EV or an all-new product on 20th March
MG Motor has recently trademarked a bunch of names including Excelor EV, Martiner, Minster, Wemblor EV, Aulder EV, Trudor EV, Waltor EV, Chester EV, Majestor, etc. The carmaker is likely to introduce or showcase a range of new products or a new EV on 20th March, 2024 as they have officially released a teaser on their YouTube channel.
MG Motor India has released a teaser that says “Welcoming a brighter tomorrow” and “Drive Future” with the date mentioned as 20.03.24. With the keywords like ‘tomorrow’ and ‘future’, we believe they will reveal a new electric vehicle(s).
Currently, none of these aforementioned products have been launched in the international market by MG. It might be a rebadged product or an all new vehicle specifically made for the Indian market.
If it is an EV, this will be their third electric vehicle in the Indian portfolio. To make a big impact in the market, they should position it between the MG Comet and MG ZS EV with an aggressive pricing to take on the likes of Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400. We will get to know more details on the product during the announcement, until then we can only speculate.
