Ford Ranger spotted with new generation Endeavour in Chennai
Ford is set to make a comeback in India, they haven’t announced it officially yet but there have been some new developments that hint us about their return to the country. Two of its popular global models, Ranger and Endeavour, have been spotted being transported in the country.
Earlier today, an image of the new generation Endeavour was shared and now, another image has emerged showing the Ranger pickup also in transit alongside the SUV.
The Ford Ranger, which received its latest generation debut in November 2021, could potentially become a contender in the Indian market, rivalling models like the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross.
Visually, the new Ford Ranger showcases an updated front grille, complemented by C-shaped LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The rear end is adorned with LED tail lights and a tailgate sporting the distinctive ‘Ranger’ emblem.
Internationally, the Ford Ranger is offered with a variety of engine options including petrol and diesel variants. These range from a 2.0-litre diesel to a 3.0-litre V6 diesel and a 2.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. Transmission options vary, with lower trims featuring 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearboxes, while higher trims are equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
While these developments suggest potential interest from Ford in the Indian market, it’s essential to wait for official announcements regarding their re-entry strategy and product lineup.
