MG Gloster, Hector, Astor & Comet get price cut as the brand celebrates 100 years
MG Motor India, in celebration of its centenary year, has made significant announcements regarding its range, including the Hector, Gloster, Astor along with the Comet EV with a price cut. The company has also introduced a new entry level Executive trim for the ZS EV, catering to a wider audience.
Starting with the Comet EV, MG Motor India has implemented a noteworthy price reduction, with the starting price seeing a decrease of Rs. 99,000/-. Similarly, the Gloster witnesses a substantial price cut, now starting at Rs. 37.49 lakhs (ex-showroom), reflecting a reduction of Rs. 1.31 lakh.
Furthermore, MG has introduced a new entry level Executive trim for the ZS EV, priced at Rs. 18.98 lakhs, marking a significant decrease of Rs. 3.9 lakhs from the previous Excite trim. While this price adjustment makes the ZS EV more accessible, specific details regarding the features of this variant have not yet been disclosed.
The starting prices for the Hector now stand at Rs. 14.94 lakhs for petrol variants and Rs. 17.50 lakhs for diesel variants, showcasing reductions of Rs. 6000/- and Rs. 79,000/- respectively.
Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor India, attributed these price revisions to various factors such as increased localisation, optimised logistics and rationalisation of key commodity costs. Such strategic measures enable MG to pass on the benefits to customers, enhancing the value proposition of its products.
The carmaker also showcased their entire range at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
