Ola S1 X 4kWh variant comes with claimed range of 190 km on full charge
Ola Electric has introduced a new variant of the S1 X model, featuring a 4kWh battery pack. Priced at Rs. 1.10 lakhs (ex-showroom), this offering aims to cater to consumers seeking an extended range capability. Deliveries slated to commence in April 2024 along with other S1 X variants sporting 2kWh and 3kWh batteries
The S1 X 4kWh variant boasts a claimed IDC range of 190 km on full charge, positioning it closely to the 195 km range of the S1 Pro Gen 2. Despite the larger battery capacity, the S1 X 4kWh retains the mechanical attributes and feature set of its counterparts, maintaining uniformity across the product range. There is a slight increase in weight with the 4kWh model tipping the scales at 112 kg.
In line with its commitment to infrastructure development, Ola Electric has announced plans to install 10,000 fast chargers across India by the next quarter, a significant expansion from the current 1000 stations.
Founder and MD of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, also unveiled plans for enhancing service support, with 600 service centres scheduled to be operational by April. Additionally, the company has introduced an 8 year/80,000 km battery warranty as a standard offering with every new S1 electric scooter purchase. Customers further have the option to extend the warranty up to 1.25 lakh kilometres for an additional fee.
