Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 launched for the first time in India, KTM Duke 390’s sibling
2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 250 launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 2.92 lakhs and Rs. 2.19 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
The new Husqvarna range gets a major update including new styling, engines, chassis and features. According to the Swedish brand, the new generation bikes are developed with a focus to improve the seat height, ground clearance, tank capacity, pillion comfort and cornering dynamics over the outgoing models.
The Svartpilen 401 is positioned as a modern scrambler. It is powered by a 399cc, 45 HP engine that is housed inside a steel trellis chassis. It gets a new aluminium swingarm and is equipped with adjustable WP suspension, ByBre brakes and Bosch Dual Channel ABS. The gearbox comes with Easy Shift technology to allow clutchless gear changes. Other highlights of the bike include 5-inch bonded glass TFT display, new paint finish with new decals and 17-inch spoked wheels.
The Vitpilen 250 is positioned as a minimalist urban roadster. lt features WP suspension, ByBre brakes and dual-channel Bosch ABS like its bigger capacity sibling. The bike now offers a more upright riding position. It gets a new 5-inch LCD display, new paint finish with revised decals, new handlebars that offer reduced weight and 17-inch cast wheels.
Both the bikes feature a longer wheelbase, a new frame and a revised seat height. Powering the 2024 range is a new and more compact engine with an improved weight distribution and revised gearbox.
