Mahindra Thar 5 Door to get fancy dual tone alloy wheel design
Mahindra Thar 5 door version has been spotted multiple times of late but this time around the alloy wheel design catches our attention. It seems like the prototype is running on production spec alloy wheels that grabs a lot of attention. Spotted by MotorBeamer Trunal Gaikwad.
The 5-spoke alloys might look similar to those found on the current 3-door version on sale but these have shiny edge to them. The dual tone effect makes it look more premium. However, we believe, they are the same 18-inch in size.
Mahindra will make the 5 door version stand out with premium aesthetics and features. The more practical Thar will get new LED headlights with LED DRLs. The grille design will be updated, there will be new LED tail lights on offer and new colour options as well.
The interior has been partly revealed which showcases dual tone black and brown interior theme. It will get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with the latest UI. There will be a new instrument cluster on offer. It will also feature a front arm rest, rear parking camera, sunroof, etc.
Engine options will continue to be the same including 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit and 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both the engines will be offered with manual and automatic transmissions. Buyers will have a choice of 4×2 and 4×4 variants.
Mahindra has trademarked multiple names recently including Thar Armada, Cult, Rex, Savannah, Roxx, Gladius and Centurion. We hope they get the Armada nameplate back. Launch is expected sometime by mid-2024.
