2024 Renault Duster leaked, India launch expected by 2025 festive season
Renault gears up to unveil the next generation Duster on 29th November. While the official trailer is yet to make its debut, leaked screenshots have surfaced online, offering a sneak peek into the much awaited SUV.
The upcoming Duster is built on the CMF-B platform. Drawing inspiration from the Bigster concept, the design showcases a distinctive horizontal grille adorned with Y-shaped LEDs flanking its sides.
The squared-off wheel arches, complemented by cladding, add a touch of ruggedness, while the Y-shaped tail lamp clusters contribute to an eye-catching rear profile. Despite its resemblance to the Bigster, the new Duster seems to boast a more compact footprint. It will also be available with a long wheelbase version offering 7-seater option.
Inside, the new Duster will get a completely new dashboard with digital instrument cluster and a sizeable infotainment screen. A leaked image highlights the digital instrument cluster, hinting at a futuristic interface.
Under the hood, the next-gen Duster is expected to offer a range of petrol engines, catering to diverse preferences. Options include a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit generating 118 BHP, a 1.2-litre petrol hybrid with 138 BHP and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol flex-fuel engine with a peak output of 168 BHP. There won’t be any diesel engine on offer.
Enthusiasts in India can mark their calendars for the anticipated launch of the next-gen Duster by 2025. Once unleashed, the SUV will enter a fiercely competitive market, challenging the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate and MG Astor in the midsize SUV segment.
