RE Himalayan 450 production version leaked ahead of launch
RE Himalayan 450 has been spotted without any camouflage. The adventure motorcycle is expected to go on sale in November this year. The styling has been completely revealed in these spy images.
Royal Enfield has developed a new platform for the 450cc range and this bike will be the first to be underpinned by the all-new platform and will get the all-new engine. The new motor is expected to deliver around 35 BHP and 40 Nm torque. It is likely to get a new 6-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch.
The new Himalayan 450 looks very different and mature compared to the existing 411cc Himalayan on sale. The styling is completely new and looks inspired by some premium range of motorcycles including the Triumph Tiger and the BMW R 1250 GS while retaining the RE DNA in the styling.
It comes with LED headlight setup, LED blinkers and LED tail lights. The adventure bike will gets a USD fork. There is a new single-pod all-digital instrument cluster that will offer multiple information regarding the bike and is expected to come with smartphone connectivity for navigation, notifications, etc.
The fuel tank looks huge and is probable much bigger than the current 15-litre unit on the 411cc Himalayan. It gets a split seat setup and both the seats look sizeable for long ride comfort.
The bike gets wired spoke wheels and comes with new dual-purpose tyres. RE is expected to offer a wide range of accessories with the Himalayan 450. It will also come with a wide range of colour options.
