Honda Dio now gets a bigger 125cc engine and more features
Honda Dio 125 launched with a price tag of Rs. 83,400/- for the Standard variant and Rs. 91,300/- for the Smart variant (all prices, ex-showroom). Colour options include Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Night Star Black, Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, Mat Sangria Red Metallic and Sports Red.
In terms of design it might look very similar to the Honda Dio 110. However, there are some changes in the panels to make it look more premium. Some of the highlights include new position lamp, dual outlet muffler with chrome cover, updated tail lamp with split grab rail, wave disc brake, new graphics and bold new logo.
It also gets the Smart Key with H-Smart technology like the Activa which comes with Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Start and Smart Safe features.
Other features include full digital instrument cluster that displays Range, Average Fuel Efficiency and Real-time Fuel Efficiency. The meter displays details like Trip, Clock, Side Stand indicator, Smart key & battery indicator, ECO indicator and Service Due indicator with malfunction light which alerts in case of serious malfunctions in the vehicle.
Powering the Honda Dio 125 is the same 125cc engine found in the Activa 125 which produces 8.3 HP and 10.4 Nm of torque. It also gets Combi-Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer, 3-step adjustable rear suspension, idling stop system and side stand with engine immobiliser.
