Mahindra is preparing to launch the XUV700 electric in the near future
Mahindra XUV700 electric is on the cards as we all know. The Indian UV maker has showcased the concept version of the electric SUV quite a while back.
We have also seen some test mules of the EV running with heavy camouflage but in the disguise of the regular ICE version of the XUV700. However, this time around we saw a design patent which seems to be production ready.
The overall proportions and silhouette is unmistakably XUV700. The front end looks futuristic having the T shaped large LED DRLs connected with a strip of LED under the bonnet.
The headlight cluster is neatly tuck under the DRLs in a copper housing. There is no grille up front to differentiate it with the regular XUV700. Notice the copper colour accents on the Mahindra logo, skid plates, headlights and the shoulder line.
You can also see the aerodynamic alloy wheels here and production spec ORVMs. Most of these elements were visible on the prototype but without the wrap, this looks more realistic.
The XUV700 electric is expected to hit the showrooms by 2024 end or in 2025. Powertrain details are not know yet but we believe it’ll offer a range of up to 500 km on full charge.
Expect some changes inside as well with new materials and colour schemes along with a few more features.
The electric SUV will compete directly with the upcoming Tata Safari electric that will be based on the facelifted design.
