Hyundai Exter design revealed officially
Hyundai Exter teaser campaign has commenced as the carmaker reveals the official design sketch. Hyundai claims it comes with ‘Parametric Dynamism’ design language.
The company says the design draws its inspiration from outdoor, travel and urban lifestyle. The official sketch reveals unique styling elements while resembling Venue to a certain extent.
The front profile of the Exter gets H-shaped LED DRLs and square shaped headlight casing with projector lamps it seems. It continues with the new trend of DRLs on top and headlights integrated onto the bumper.
The bumper has got a huge grille stretching across the width of the car. There is a small line between the bonnet and the bumper. The new Hyundai logo sits atop the bonnet. Notice the faux skid plate on the chin to emphasise on the SUV factor.
It gets roof rails and the top part of the car somehow reminds us of the Hyundai Venue. The fenders of the Exter look quite muscular while the ORVMs get integrated blinkers.
Now let’s see if this green colour and the styling elements make it to the final production car. The launch is expected to happen just before the festive season while the production will commence around July.
The Exter is based on the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios platform. It will be positioned under the Hyundai Venue. Expected to come with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.
