BMW Motorrad introduces R nineT & R 18 100 Years edition in India
BMW Motorrad launches R nineT and R 18 100 Years limited edition bikes in India. The R nineT is priced at Rs. 24 lakhs (ex-showroom) while the R 18 is priced at Rs. 25.90 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Bookings for the special edition models have commenced in India. These are limited to only 1923 units across the globe. The motorcycle maker is celebrating their 100 year history with these two exclusive bikes.
In December 1922, BMW chief designer Max Friz had put the first full-scale BMW motorcycle on the drawing board. It was powered by an air-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke boxer engine. R 32 was the first BMW motorcycle and was presented in September 1923.
The special edition motorcycles get chrome finished body work and exclusive paint work to give the retro appeal of the R 32. The seats are finished in two-tone combination black/oxblood.
There are no mechanical changes and the bikes are fitted with all the hi-tech equipment including Adaptive turning light and the Comfort Package with heated grips, cruise control and Driving Modes Pro.
