Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet launched in India
Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet launched, priced at Rs. 1.30 crores (ex-showroom). It is the German luxury carmaker’s first launch in India this year.
They have sold 15,822 units in 2022, making it the best year ever in terms of sales for the brand and also the best ever Q4 in the history of Mercedes-Benz India.
The company claims they have commenced the product offensive by introducing the E 53 Cabriolet. It is the first Cabriolet in an AMG avatar in India.
It is powered by a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 435 HP at 6100 RPM and 520 Nm of torque at 1800-5800 RPM. This engine is paired to an integrated starter generator that provides additional EQ Boost of 22 HP and 250 Nm.
This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It also gets 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. The E 53 AMG Cabriolet does 0-100 km/hr in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/hr.
It looks like the E-Class from the front profile but with a sporty touch of the AMG grille and bumper. The rear profile looks quite sleek with those wraparound tail lights. It looks quite sporty too having quad exhausts and a sharp rear profile.
