Mahindra Thar spotted in new golden colour
Mahindra to offer the Thar with a new colour this month. The Indian UV maker is preparing to launch the 4×2 version of the SUV soon. It has been spotted in a golden shade which is officially called Blazing Bronze in Mahindra’s colour palette.
This colour can be seen on the Mahindra XUV300. How does it look on the Thar? Let us know in the comments section. The dealer dispatch of the 4×2 version has commenced and the launch is expected to happen in the next few days.
Mahindra is expected to price it aggressively as there is no 4×4 system and the diesel version gets a smaller 1.5-litre unit which makes it fall under the lower tax bracket. The 4×2 Thar is expected to undercut the 4×4 Thar by Rs. 2 lakhs.
The rear-wheel drive Thar will get both 1.5-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine options with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The 1.5-litre diesel will produce 115 BHP and 300 Nm torque. The 2.0-litre petrol puts out 150 BHP and 300/320 Nm torque.
