Honda City facelift likely to launch in India by mid-2023
2023 Honda City facelift spotted in India for the first time. The prototype test mule was loaded on a truck wearing heavy camouflage but revealed a few details. Spotted by MotorBeamer Siddhesh Mhatre.
At first glance from the rear profile it looks exactly like the previous generation Hyundai Verna (Fluidic). The tail light cut outs look exactly the same. This also means that the carmaker is making prominent changes on the rear profile including the lights, boot and bumper design.
The front profile looks similar to the car on sale but you can expect some aesthetic updates on the headlights, grille and bumper.
The interior too is likely to get visual tweaks and of course some new features to make the City more competitive. We can expect Honda to introduce ADAS Level 1 features with the facelift.
It will continue to be powered by the same petrol and strong hybrid engine options while the diesel engine might or might not be offered with the facelift.
The updated model is expected to hit the showrooms by mid-2023 and will compete with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, etc.
