Volkswagen Taigun & Skoda Kushaq score full marks in Global NCAP crash test
Volkswagen Taigun & Skoda Kushaq Global NCAP crash test results are out. Both the cars achieve full 5 stars for Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection.
Both the models are based on the same platform and they are first models ever to achieve five stars for both adults and children.
They went through the updated Global NCAP crash test protocols which included frontal and side impact protection, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection and side impact pole protection assessments.
For Adult Occupant Protection, the cars scored 29.64 out of 34 points while for Child Occupant Protection, the cars scored 42 out of 49 points.
The entry-level variants of both the cars were tested that get dual-front airbags, ESD, ABS, EBD, Multi-Collision Braking, etc. as standard across all variants.
The bodyshell was rated as stable and it is capable of withstanding further loadings. Pole impact test was performed in a variant with side head protection airbags showing good protection to the head and pelvis, adequate protection to the abdomen and marginal protection to the chest.
