Mercedes EQS 580 gets a much lower price compared to the AMG version which is a CBU
Mercedes EQS 580 launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 1.55 crores (ex-showroom). It is the first locally assembled luxury car in India, imported via CKD (completely knocked down) route. It is assembled at the brand’s Chakan plant.
It is powered by a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is paired with two electric motors. It produces a combined power output of 523 BHP and 856 Nm of peak torque. Mercedes-Benz claims a maximum range of 857 km on a single charge, which is the longest range of an electric car in India currently. It can do 0-100 km/hr acceleration in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/hr.
The exterior and interior is more luxury oriented and is toned down to look more simple compared to the sporty AMG version of the EQS. It is almost Rs. 90 lakhs less expensive than the performance oriented version.
With a fast charger, it can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 31 minutes.
