Volvo India has updated their lineup with new mild hybrid petrol engines
Volvo has introduced mild hybrid petrol engine across their range of cars in India. The Swedish brand no longer offers diesel engine option in our country. They plan to become an all-electric carmaker by 2030.
Along with this updated they have also introduced mild tweaks on some cars with new features. The Volvo XC40 is priced at Rs. 43.20 lakhs (ex-showroom & introductory). It gets an exterior updated with reworked headlights, new bumpers and revised front grille.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre mild hybrid petrol engine that produces 197 HP and 300 Nm torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Some of the features include Android powered infotainment system with Google Services, Apple CarPlay, 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, lane keeping assist, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, collision mitigation system, park assist, etc.
Next up is the Volvo XC60 with a price tag of Rs. 65.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). It gets similar changes on the exterior including new LED headlights, new bumpers and grille. In terms of features it comes with the new Android-based infotainment, Bowers & Wilkins audio system, air purifier, massage function, etc.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre mild hybrid petrol engine producing 250 HP and 350 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The flagship, Volvo XC90 is priced at Rs. 94.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). It looks very similar to the outgoing model and there are very marginal changes on the exterior. It comes with the new Android infotainment system, 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, 360 degree camera, heads-up display, panoramic sunroof, etc.
Powered by a 2.0-litre mild hybrid petrol motor producing 300 HP and 420 Nm torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that channels the power to all four wheels via AWD system.
The Volvo S90 is priced at Rs. 66.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is the only Volvo sedan on sale in India as the Volvo S60 is currently not on sale. This sedan also gets a mild facelift with updated features list.
