The special edition SUVs of Tata Motors will go on sale tomorrow, bring in a fresh appeal
Tata Motors has teased its upcoming special edition SUVs that will be launched tomorrow. The models include Safari, Harrier, Nexon, and Nexon EV. However, Punch couldn’t spotted in the teaser.
The SUVs will be adorned with Maybach-inspired dual-tone exterior shades with bright roofs. Rest all aspects of the exteriors look the same as the existing models. But, on the inside, there could be a host of add-ons.
Tata has teased reclining seats and they could very well be part of the special editions. The company has teased the Harrier’s dashboard but we couldn’t make out any differences. Maybe, minor feature additions could be possible.
Tata already has too many trims and variants for its SUVs especially Nexon and it must be seen where the company fits these special editions. It’s likely to add to the confusion. Maybe, the company might pull the plug on certain variants.
Just a few months back, Harrier has got a new variant lineup named ‘XZS’. Priced between Rs. 20 – 21.6 lakhs (ex-showroom), each XZS variant commands a premium of roughly around Rs. 1.3 lakh over the respective XZ counterpart.
Tata Motors is also readying the facelifted versions of the Harrier and Safari. A test mule of the Safari facelift was spotted fully camouflaged recently. Its grille had unique silver finished holes against the quilted pattern of the outgoing model.
The eyebrow DRLs merged into the grille quite sharply. The lights were sleeker too. The facelifted Tatas might get many sophistications and creature comfort features. Some of them could be the much-needed ADAS, 360 degree camera, and ventilated seats.
