2022 BMW Motorrad touring range price goes up to Rs. 33 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the range-topping K 1600 Grand America
BMW Motorrad has launched the 2022 iteration of its premium touring range with a price tag starting from Rs. 23.95 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base R 1250 RT. Price goes up to Rs. 33 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the range-topping K 1600 Grand America.
The launched models include the R 1250 RT, K 1600 Bagger, K 1600 GTL, and K 1600 Grand America. Deliveries will start this month itself for customers who had pre-booked the motorcycles across BMW Motorrad dealer network in India.
With the 2022 models, BMW has taken the legendary 2-cylinder boxer and the 6-cylinder engines’ performance and refinement to the next level. This aided by the bikes’ ride comfort and exclusive features will ensure relaxed cruising on long highways.
Coming to the base R 1250 RT, it, now, looks fresher and more dynamic with enhanced touring qualities. BMW has given aerodynamic advancements with new fairing and full-LED headlamps.
The 2-cylinder boxer engine has BMW ShiftCam technology ensuring grunt across the powerband and good fuel economy. The 1254 cc unit churns 136 HP at 7750 RPM and 143 Nm at 6250 RPM. The 0 – 100 km/hr time is 3.7 seconds while top speed is 200 km/hr.
The new K 1600 models’ 6-cylinder in-line engine produces 160 HP at 6750 RPM and 180 Nm at 5250 RPM. BMW says the richer torque characteristic provides a relaxed cruising feeling.
The drag torque control (dynamic engine brake control) and Dynamic ESA are others features of the powertrain. A new 10.25-inch TFT colour display with integrated navigation and connectivity offers excellent readability and clear menu navigation.
There’s also a new Audio System 2.0 for music on the move. The motorcycles are available in varied colour options.
BMW India Financial Services offers various financial solutions to own these touring range of motorcycles. BMW Motorrad bikes come with a standard warranty for 3 years and unlimited km.
The warranty can be extended to fourth and fifth year at an additional cost. Road Side Assistance, a 24×7 365-days package further ensures prompt services in case of breakdown and towing situations.
