2023 Audi A8 L price starts at Rs. 1.29 crore (ex-showroom) for the base Celebration Edition
Audi India has launched its much-awaited 2023 flagship luxury sedan A8 L for a price starting from Rs. 1.29 crore (ex-showroom) for the base Celebration Edition. The top-end Technology variant commands a price tag of Rs. 1.57 crore (ex-showroom).
Bookings for the luxury sedan are already underway for a token amount of Rs. 10 lakhs. Customers can book the car via their nearest Audi dealerships or online by visiting www.audi.in. Buyers can also personalise their cars by configuring various options.
Unlike many global markets, Audi has brought only the more-premium long wheelbase version here that sports 1 of the best-in-class interior space in its segment.
The current generation Audi A8 series made their global debut only around 6 months back. The flagship series is powered by a 3-litre TFSI engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system with a combined output of 340 HP and 540 Nm.
The power is channeled to the wheels via Audi’s tried and tested quattro all-wheel drive system.
The luxury sedan sports what Audi calls, ‘Predictive Air Suspension’ that’s claimed to offer improved handling without compromising on comfort and ride quality. The interior comfort is further aided by the brand’s rear relaxation package that includes a recliner and a foot massager.
The car has voice operation responding to ‘Hey Audi’, 4-zone deluxe automatic air-conditioning, new 10.1-inch screens at the rear, around 40 driver assistance systems and more.
The major change on the outside are the revised headlamps and the front grille. The headlights now feature new rhomboid-shaped units which bring about a new pattern of light throw. Audi calls it ‘Digital Matrix LED Headlights’ and they get animated projections.
The horizontal slats on the grille have been replaced with vertical ones that look somewhat like a mesh when seen from a distance. The new set of wheels enhance the overall exterior looks as their extremely low profile rubbers pronounce the alloy design well.
Being the second launch of the German marque this year in the country after the Q7, the A8 L will compete against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the BMW 7-Series while sitting alongside Audi’s existing A4 and A6.
