Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 will be launched this September, the car was spotted in Coimbatore
Toyota will launch the Land Cruiser LC300 in India this September and, ahead of the launch, the SUV has been spotted on test on our roads.
The Land Cruiser is known across the world for its ruggedness, luxury, huge road presence, off-road capabilities, and the enormous power on offer from bulbous engines. The previous LC200 version of the iconic SUV was sold in India till BS-6 norms kicked in.
The LC300 is the latest generation model and the 1 that will be launched in India is the Sahara spec version. It rides 18-inch alloy wheels with a total of 9 colours on offer. Sahara gets a lot of chrome elements on the front grille, rear tail gate, ORVMs, and door handles.
Illumination is through bi-LED projectors with auto-level as per load function. There’s a rear privacy glass as well. As far as comfort goes, the SUV sports driver’s seat memory, heads-up display, and ventilated front and rear seats.
The second row passengers get an entertainment suite with 2 displays mounted on the back of the front captain seats. The SUV features a 7-seat configuration with the last row getting electric tumble down function. There’s a 4-zone climate control with a normal sunroof.
Further, the LC300 sports 8-way power adjustable seats for all the passengers. The dashboard gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto paired to a 14-speaker JBL sound system.
Power comes from a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel mill that exerts 304 HP and 700Nm mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with 4×4 system. There are multiple drive modes for tackling rough terrains.
The SUV features a suite of off-road functionalities as well that include hill-assist control, driver assistance systems, and a 4-camera panoramic view monitor. There’s also a limited slip differential.
The upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Sahara is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs. 1.9-1.95 crores (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Range Rovers, BMW X7, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
