Least-selling 2-wheelers in April 2022 – KTM Duke and RC 200 make a shocking entry into the list
April 2022 has turned out be a month of shocking twists and turns with many 2-wheelers getting displaced from their positions and here’s the least-selling list that has some interesting details on offer.
For Bajaj Auto, April has turned out to be the month to erase off from its history as the Chakan based 2-wheeler maker has fared very worse this time. Even before we could digest the once-top seller, Pulsar 150, selling just over 2000 units, this list already features 9 other bikes from the Bajaj family.
Honda CB 300R has taken the number 1 position as it didn’t sell even a single unit this time. This is quite unbelievable as the bike found 354 homes the previous month. In fact, it even overtook the Suzuki Gixxer twins at that time.
Second in the list is the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise. The 220 cc cruiser sales continue to dwindle and it’s consistently recording low sales. Bajaj might pull the plug if this status remains unchanged in the future.
The Husqvarna Vitpilen and Svartpilen took the next spot and they are quite regular in this list due to their KTM cousins offering more value. But even the KTM 250s have fared worse this time registering just 25 unit sales.
The KTM 125 cc twins entered this list sometime back and, from then on, they are continuing to get featured. The reason for the low sales is attributed to the low value they offer for their price tags.
Kawasaki Ninja 300 came sixth and the kwacker remains featured here owing to his high price and the Royal Enfield 650 twins being cheaper and offering more value.
The latest entrants, Bajaj F and N 250 took the next spot and this, again, comes as a rude shock. The twins have not even completed 1 full year and yet they have joined the least-selling list. Are customers still craving for the discontinued 220 is the question lingering.
Bajaj Dominar 400 took the next spot and is quite expected. But, the biggest shock comes from the entry of the KTM Duke and RC 200.
For the time the last few years, they have been featured in the list. The twins used to consistently sell over 1000 units every month. Let’s wait and watch their performance next month.
The Bajaj Avenger 160 Street and Domiar 250 took the last 10th place selling 174 units each.
