Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition price goes up to Rs. 19.49 lakhs for the 1.5 TSI AT variant
Skoda has launched the much-awaited Monte Carlo Edition of its Kushaq SUV at a starting price of Rs. 15.99 lakhs. Becoming the second car in India to sport the special edition, it pays homage to Skoda’s motorsport heritage and Rallye Monte Carlo.
Differentiating itself from the regular Kushaq, the Monte Carlo Edition gets the exclusive Monte Carlo badge, Gloss Black exterior elements, Red interior embellishments, and new driver’s virtual cockpit. The edition will be available in 2 colours – Tornado Red and Candy White.
Powered by the existing 1-litre and 1.5-litre TSI motors, the new Kushaq also gets start-stop recuperation system as standard on the 1-litre variants for improved fuel efficiency.
To explain further about the updates, the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition sports Skoda’s signature grille with gloss black surround, gloss black OVRMs, 17-inch dual-tone Vega alloys that are a direct lift from the Octavia vRS 245, and a dual-tone tailgate spoiler.
The car wears a Monte Carlo fender garnish in place of the Skoda badge. The roof gets a contrast gloss Carbon Steel paint. Electric sunroof with anti-pinch technology comes standard on the edition. The Carbon Steel roof is matched with Matte Black roof rails and dark chrome external door handles.
At the rear, there’s a trunk garnish at the door and a diffuser beneath the rear bumper both finished in Gloss Black. The chrome Skoda and Kushaq inscriptions at the rear are, again, in Gloss Black. As are the L-Shaped surrounds for the air vents in the front bumper.
Coming to the difference between the 1-litre and 1.5-litre TSI engines, the Kushaq Monte Carlo 1.5-litre TSI will have red calipers in the front wheels.
On the inside, the Kushaq Monte Carlo gets Red and Black dual-tone upholstery and Ruby Red metallic inserts. The metallic inserts adorn the width of the dashboard flowing down the centre console and to the front doors.
The front has ventilated leather seats with Monte Carlo inscribed on the headrests. The rear gets leatherette seats. The leather wrap on the 2-spoke mutli-function steering gets red stitching. There’s also red ambient lighting at the front passenger dashboard.
The driver’s instrument console gets an 8-inch virtual cockpit with a red theme while the centre console gets a 10-inch infotainment system with Skoda Play Apps and a red theme. The foot pedals are the grippy Alu ones.
The Kushaq Monte Carlo rivals Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, MG Astor, and Nissan Kicks.
