The Husqvarna Vitpilen 1301 was spotted in Europe

Husqvarna has been spotted road-testing the Vitpilen 1301 neo retro-style super-naked motorcycle recently.

Based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R, the Vitpilen 1301 has a circular LED headlight up front along with a wide fender. The fairly large fuel tank has long extensions, while the seat section of the super-naked is slim and the tail short and sharp.

Bear in mind that the design of the development mule will not exactly be carried as is to the production version and there will be changes, with Husqvarna putting its own twist to the aesthetics.

Nestled in the frame is the 1301cc LC8 V-twin that should produce the same 177 BHP and 140 torques as it does in the Super Duke. Only the casings will be different.

The single-sided swingarm setup of the Super Duke has been retained and the same goes for the suspension and braking hardware. Even the 5-inch TFT dash is the same.

It will be a looker for sure

However, there are some differences too, such as the twin can exhaust canister, 9-spoke alloy wheels, circular bar-end mirrors and a belly pan.

While the motorcycle has been several years in the making, it should debut as a 2023 model with top-notch electronics and will have raw speed on its side.
