Tata’s bet on going big with SUVs and EVs is clearly working. The company leads the electric passenger vehicle segment in India by a large margin and demand for the brand’s Nexon EV and Tigor EV is only getting higher.
Further, the car manufacturer will, on 19th January, 2022, launch CNG versions of its Tiago hatchback and Tigor compact sedan to tap into the growing CNG passenger vehicle segment currently led by Maruti Suzuki.
The company notes that the impact of the newer variant of COVID-19 is to be observed carefully, along with the semiconductor shortage. However, Tata is cautiously optimistic about its fortunes in 2022.
