2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza launch scheduled for mid-2022
2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will get a substantial update including the nomenclature which drops the Vitara moniker. As we’ve recently seen in the leaked pictures, the new compact SUV gets a revised exterior, new interior and more features.
The front profile gets a new bonnet, sharp headlamps with integrated DRLs and projector lights along with a new grille and bumper. The side profile will look similar but will get new alloy wheel design.
The tailgate also gets a new design with bold ‘Brezza’ lettering wraparound LED tail lamps and new bumper design.
The most important new feature for us Indians will be the beloved sunroof along with a larger touchscreen infotainment system with updated UI, wireless charger, paddle shifters for the automatic version and also an e-sim based connectivity system.
The connected car system will offer features like geo-fencing, tracking, intrusion detection, etc. Most of these features will be seen for the first time in a Maruti.
The interior of the next gen Brezza will also use higher quality plastic on the dashboard and across the cabin for a more premium feel.
The naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine will continue to power the compact SUV producing 105 BHP and 138 Nm of torque. However, the fuel efficiency will be improved in the new model.
The second generation model is will get more expensive and is likely to be offered in the range of Rs. 8-13 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the likes.
