2022 Maruti Ertiga and XL6 getting ready for launch with mild tweaks.
The year 2022 will see quite a lot of action from Maruti including Ertiga facelift, XL6 facelift, Baleno, Vitara Brezza, Alto and most probably (fingers crossed) the Jimny among other updates.
We recently spotted a heavily camouflaged test mule of the Maruti XL6. It is expected to come with revised headlamps & tail lamps, new bumpers and updated front grille. There could be a new option for 6-seater and 7-seater configuration with the updated XL6.
We recently saw the interior leaks of the new Baleno and Vitara Brezza. We can expect similar changes for the updated MPVs as well, like the new semi-digital instrument cluster, new steering wheel and new infotainment interface.
The 2022 Maruti Ertiga facelift test mule had relatively less camouflage. It might come with minor cosmetic tweaks. The front grille is expected to get a new design in line with the updated Baleno that was leaked recently.
Both the cars are expected to continue with the same engine options. However, there is a chance that Maruti might introduce a new 6-speed automatic gearbox with the facelifted models.
The MPVs are powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild hybrid tech. This motor produces 105 HP and 138 Nm of torque. There will be no diesel engine option as Maruti continues to focus on petrol engines only.
