The asking price of the Harley-Davidson Sportster S has been revealed at the India Bike Week 2021
Harley-Davidson has introduced the Sportster S motorcycle with an asking price of Rs. 15.51 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Revealed globally about 5 months ago, the cruiser is a stylish machine that sports undeniably macho looks and it comes with new age electronics to keep the rider safe at all times.
The Sportster S does not have a traditional frame since its V-twin engine acts as a stressed member of the chassis. Coming from a brand known for its big air-cooled engines, this new motor seems rather special at a glance.
With a displacement of 1250cc, the liquid-cooled V-twin motor delivers a maximum of 121 HP and 127 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Sporting a 6-axis IMU, the Sportster S comes with cornering ABS, traction control, front wheel lift mitigation, along with cruise control and TPMS.
Customers who pay the Harley-Davidson Sportster S price will be pleased to find that it has full-LED lights, a 4.0-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and riding modes such as ‘Rain’, ‘Road’, ‘Sport’ and ‘Custom’.
While the suspension comprises 43 mm inverted front forks and rear monoshock (both are fully-adjustable), the motorcycle rides on cast aluminium wheels (17-inch front and 16-inch rear) with wide 160-section front and 180-section rear tyres.
Stopping power comes from a 320 mm front disc with 4-piston, radial-mounted Brembo caliper and a 260 mm rear disc with a 2-piston Brembo caliper.
Available in only 3 colour choices – Midnight Crimson, Stone Washed White Pearl and Vivid Black – the Sportster S has a 11.8-litre fuel tank and weighs 228 kg in running order.
