The 2022 Hyundai Tucson has been spotted this time around in Hyderabad
Yet another test mule of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson has been spied in India, as the Korean brand continues to work on the Indian version of the global model.
This particular development mule of the premium SUV that was completely disguised was spotted in Hyderabad by MotorBeamer Pratham.
Although it is covered well, one can still see the DRLs that are part of the ‘Parametric Jewel’ radiator grille, the headlights, fang-style tail lamps, roof rails and the chrome garnish for the windows.
Riding on alloy wheels, the recently spotted 2022 Hyundai Tucson will come with an all-new design language that has inspired the soon-to-be launched Creta facelift’s front end as well.
Apart from an all-new exterior, the new Tucson will also get a fresh cabin. The dashboard, steering wheel, driver’s cluster, touchscreen and switchgear will be completely new this time around.
As for features, the premium SUV will come with dual 10.25-inch displays, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice control, ambient lighting, Blue Link, and so much more.
Unlike the overseas model that comes with 2 petrol engine options comprising a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated unit and a 1.6-litre turbocharged motor in hybrid and plug-in hybrid form, the version for India could be offered with the current model’s 2.0-litre petrol and diesel motor choices.
The automatic gearboxes could well be carried over too and four-wheel drive should also be on offer. There should also be an N Line variant joining the lineup in the future.
Expect the premium SUV to be put on sale in the market by the end of this month or early next year and rival the Toyota Fortuner, Citroen C5 Aircross and the like.
