The asking price of the Suzuki Avenis ranges between Rs. 86,700/- and Rs. 87,000/-
Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the 125cc Avenis with a starting price of Rs. 86,700/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), in India today. Bookings for the scooter will begin from the first week of December.
Available in 2 forms – Ride Connect Edition and Race Edition – the new scooter is the third model of its kind with a 125cc heart that the Japanese brand currently sells in India.
The stylish scooter featuring a dual tone paint scheme with sporty graphics, has a LED headlamp and tail lights, a meter visor, split grab handle, alloy wheels and an external fuel cap.
It also has features like an engine kill switch, side stand interlock, dual luggage hooks, under-seat and front storage, USB charger, and a digital instrument display with smartphone connectivity, missed call, SMS and WhatsApp alerts, caller ID, turn-by-turn navigation, among other features.
While the Ride Connect Edition is available in 4 colours – Matte Fibroin Grey with Lush Green, Pearl Blaze Orange with Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Mirage White with Fibroin Grey and Matte Black with Glass Sparkle Black – the Race Edition is offered in a single Metallic Triton Blue paint, inspired by the brand’s MotoGP racers.
Power comes from a 124.3cc air-cooled engine that delivers a claimed 8.7 PS and 10 Nm of torque, which is the same as the Burgman Street 125. The motor is teamed to a CVT.
Weighing 106 kg (5.2-litre fuel tank), the Avenis rides on a 12-inch front wheel (90/90-section tyre) and a 10-inch rear wheel (90/100-section rubber).
Equipped with telescopic front fork and a monoshock at the rear, the scooter features a disc brake up front and a drum brake in the back.
