While the Skoda Slavia unveil will take place next month, its market launch will happen in early 2022
Skoda Auto India has announced that it has scheduled the Slavia sedan’s unveil for 18th November 2021.
Built on the brand’s MQB-A0-IN platform, the sedan which will compete with the likes of the Honda City and Hyundai Verna, is the second car to be introduced by Skoda under its India 2.0 plan.
Measuring 4541 mm long, 1752 mm wide, 1487 mm tall and having a wheelbase of 2651 mm, the Slavia should prove to be a spacious contender in its segment.
It will come equipped with a large infotainment touchscreen, LED lights and several other new age features, like its crossover sibling, the Kushaq.
Skoda will offer the car with a choice of 2 turbo-petrol engines. The smaller 1.0-litre motor will make a maximum of 115 PS, while the 1.5-litre engine will produce 150 PS.
A 6-speed manual gearbox will be the mainstay for both units, while a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0-litre engine and a 7-speed DSG for the bigger motor will also be offered.
More details about the car, including the number of variants, the features they come with, among other details are to be disclosed when the Skoda Slavia unveil takes place 3 weeks from now.
