Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus name confirmed, launch soon.
As expected, with the introduction of the Mahindra Bolero Neo, the Plus version wasn’t too far away. Mahindra officials have now confirmed the name of the extended version of the sub 4-metre car that has been renamed from TUV300.
The design patent of the updated MUV was filed more than a year back, September 2020 to be precise. We believe due to the chip shortage issue and the priority towards new vehicles like Thar and XUV700, Mahindra has delayed the launch.
Expect similar updates like the smaller version including new grille up front with new set of headlamps and a revised bumper. Both these cars might share the same alloy wheels pattern but the key differentiator here will be the rear profile. The Plus version will get longer rear overhangs and different tail lamps.
While the smaller MUV is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel producing 100 BHP and 260 Nm of torque, the Bolero Neo Plus might retain the same 2.2-litre diesel with 120 BHP and 280 Nm torque output.
The USP of the extended version is the fact that it is a 9-seater. It comes with side facing seats behind the middle row to accommodate 4 passengers.
