The Nissan Magnite XV Executive variant will sit below the XV grade
Nissan is expected to add a new ‘XV Executive’ grade to the Magnite lineup in the near future. The new variant will sit between the XL and XV trims and will come with a bit more features than the XL grade.
The new equipment will include a 9.0-inch touchscreen, rear-view camera, height adjustable driver seat, centre armrest in second row, ISOFIX anchor points and 16-inch alloy wheels.
It is said the 9.0-inch touchscreen will be an Android-based unit which will be installed at the dealership. The head unit will feature on-board navigation via Google Maps and will support split screen viewing.
However, the Nissan Magnite XV Executive variant will sit below the XV variant and will miss out on LED DRLs and fog lamps and keyless entry and go, among other things.
To be offered with both 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72 PS and 96 Nm) and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (100 PS and up to 160 Nm) engines, the new variant will also be offered with a CVT option with the more powerful engine, while a 5-speed manual will be the mainstay.
The new XV Executive grade of the Magnite is expected to cost between Rs. 6.86 lakhs and Rs. 8.86 lakhs (ex-showroom). At present, Nissan asks Rs. 6.47 lakhs for the 1.0-litre petrol XL and Rs. 7.05 lakhs for the 1.0-litre petrol XV.
Whereas the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol XL costs between Rs. 7.62 lakhs (MT) and Rs. 8.51 lakhs (CVT) and the XV grade is priced between Rs. 8.20 lakhs (MT) and Rs. 9.09 lakhs (CVT). The prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Expect an official announcement to be made by the Japanese firm regarding the new variant of the compact SUV which competes with the likes of the Renault Kiger, Tata Punch (in terms of price), Maruti Vitara Brezza, among others, soon.
