The BMW 5-Series Carbon Edition has a price tag that is the second highest in the model range
BMW has launched the 5-Series Carbon Edition at a price of Rs. 66.30 lakhs (ex-showroom), today in India. It is based on the 530i M Sport grade.
It commands a premium of Rs. 2.90 lakhs over the regular 530i M Sport. For the additional price, BMW 5-Series Carbon Edition comes with many carbon-fibre exterior elements.
The kidney grille, front splitter, ORVM caps and rear spoiler of the car are all made of carbon-fibre. In addition, the luxury sedan is fitted with 18-inch Jet Black alloy wheels.
The Carbon Edition of the 5-Series comes exclusively in Alpine White paintwork and has a perforated Sensatec interior upholstery in Cognac and Black colour combination with contrast stitching.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that pushes out 252 HP and 350 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to an 8-speed steptronic sport automatic transmission and enables the car to do the 0-100 km/hr run in 6.1 seconds.
As for features, the BMW 5-Series Carbon Edition comes with all the equipment offered on the 530i M Sport. This includes full-LED adaptive headlights, sunroof, welcome light carpet and comfort access system, on the outside.
Inside, there is a M Sport leather steering wheel, 4-zone automatic climate control, 12.3-inch digital instrument display, 12.3-inch touchscreen, gesture control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, parking assistant with surround view camera, reversing assistant, remote control parking function, and more.
Furthermore, there are plentiful safety systems onboard the car to keep its passengers safe in the event of a collision.
