TVS has set a rather competitive asking price for the Raider which has many features
TVS Motor Company has launched the Raider 125cc motorcycle with a starting price of Rs. 77,500/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), today in India.
According to TVS, the Raider is all about being sporty, macho, aggressive and powerful and the design shows. It comes with a muscular fuel tank, split seat, chunky grab handle and a drawn-out exhaust with a silver-coloured heat shield.
Admittedly, it is refreshing to see a motorcycle with almost no graphics and the TVS raider also gets modern kit like a LED headlamp with DRLs, LED taillight, and a digital instrument display.
As standard, the bike comes with an LCD cluster. But, customers who do not mind paying more than the base TVS Raider price tag can opt for the optional 5-inch TFT cluster with TVS SMARTXONNECT which brings in Bluetooth connectivity and Voice Assist (‘Hey Raider’).
Aimed at the Gen Z, the motorcycle comes with colour choices such as Blazing Blue, Fiery Yellow, Striking Red and Wicked Black. It is offered in both disc and drum variants and has CBS.
Power comes from a 124.8cc 3-valve motor making a maximum of 11.2 BHP at 7500 RPM and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and enables the bike to do the 0-60 km/hr run in 5.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 99 km/hr.
Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, the Raider comes with telescopic front fork, adjustable gas-charged rear monoshock, and 2 ride modes – Eco and Power – as well.
The TVS Raider price also includes features such as auto stop-start, side stand indicator with engine inhibitor and helmet reminder. The bike comes with a small under-seat storage space and can be equipped with an optional USB charger too.
