The latest Tata Punch teaser video shows the car in action in the real world
Tata has dropped another teaser video of the Punch micro crossover on social media. In the latest video, the car is driven on different surfaces, including a gravel road and on a field.
This much-awaited micro SUV has created quite the buzz among prospective customers with its looks and thanks in part to Tata’s image as the maker of safe vehicles even in the affordable segment.
Tata is sticking to the dual tone blue with white paint scheme for the car’s promotional campaign and the Punch continues to ride on the 2-tone alloy wheels in all of the teaser videos as well.
It was recently revealed by the automaker that the model will come with multiple drive modes to tackle multiple terrain, which will suit the demeanour of the vehicle.
However, the Punch is a front-wheel drive vehicle and the possibility of it coming with the necessary hardware for proper off-road use is close to nil.
But, it’s raised suspension and body cladding (throughout the lower portion) should prove enough to handle broken surfaces, and the odd crater, with ease.
Sporting a split front light setup and wrap-around tail lamps, the Tata Punch has an array of character lines and curves, giving it a distinctive look. Like a few other cars in the market, it also comes with door latches for the rear doors on the C-pillars.
To be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor (a turbocharged version of the engine is also expected to be offered), the Punch will come with 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT choices.
Before the latest Tata Punch teaser video was released, we reported that bookings for the micro crossover have begun unofficially. An official commencement of the same is expected, along with the launch date of the car, soon.
