The Force Gurkha teaser image has been revealed quite a while after the SUV’s teaser video was shared online
Force Motors has released a teaser image of the 2022 model year Gurkha on social media. The off-roader is finally slated to be introduced in the market.
Showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, the new generation Gurkha was also spotted on test plentiful times over the past 12 months.
This is not the first teaser of the Gurkha that Force has released this year. Back in June, the company had released a short teaser video of the new Gurkha.
To look identical to the model shown at the biennial auto show, the Gurkha will come with LED headlights, DRLs, new fog lamp housing, restyled bumpers, wheel arch cladding and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Giving it a rugged look overall will be the chunky tyres, snorkel, roof carrier and tailgate-mounted spare wheel. A few of these will be optional extras. Also, there will be new paint options, including dual tone ones.
Inside, the SUV will get revised dashboard featuring an infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and more features than the previous Gurkha.
Powering the off-roader will be a 2.6-litre diesel engine which should put out 90 BHP and 260 Nm of torque. It will be teamed to a 5-speed manual gearbox and, of course, there will be 4-wheel drive and other hardware enabling the Gurkha to be highly capable over the rough stuff.
It will primarily rival the Mahindra Thar and, when it gets introduced, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, in the market.
