Honda has not vastly changed the asking price of the Amaze for 2022
Honda has launched the 2022 model year Amaze with a starting asking price of Rs. 6.32 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), today in India.
For 2022, the Amaze comes with notable changes. Upfront, the compact sedan has a new chromed radiator grille, LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED fog lamps with chrome garnish and a restyled bumper.
The car also features chrome door handles and 15-inch alloy wheels, and at the back, Honda has given it new LED lights and a redesigned bumper with chrome embellishment. The same has been applied to the boot lid too.
Stepping inside, the 2022 Honda Amaze features updated seat upholstery, leather gear lever boot (for manual variants), leather boot lid lining, Satin Silver accents on the dashboard, door trims and the steering Wheel and chrome plated air vent knobs.
In addition, the door cards get a fabric pad each, while the Amaze also comes with new front reading lamps and plentiful features, some of which are as follows –

- Voice command functions and Bluetooth connectivity
- Push button start/stop
- Automatic climate control
- Paddle shifters (CVT)
- Cruise control
- Smart entry system
- Rear multi-view camera with guidelines
- Driver side window one touch up/down with pinch guard
- Automatic headlight control with light sensor, and
- Rear parking sensor
Now, the car is available in 3 variants – E, S (new) and VX (new) and is offered with 5 colour choices such as Golden Brown Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey (new), Platinum White Pearl and Radiant Red Metallic.
The petrol model is powered by a 1.2-litre engine making 90 PS at 6000 RPM and 110 Nm at 4800 RPM. It can be teamed with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The fuel economy figures are 18.6 km/l for the manual and 18.3 km/l for the CVT.
On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel motor makes 100 PS at 3600 RPM and 200 Nm at 1750 RPM when paired with a 5-speed manual and the claimed fuel economy is 24.7 km/l.
But, when teamed with the CVT, the oil burner is tuned to produce 80 PS at 3600 RPM and 160 Nm at 1750 RPM. Fuel economy figure of this combination is 21 km/l.
Safety features that the compact sedan comes with as standard include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX seat mounts, Impact mitigating front head rests and pedestrian injury mitigation tech.
