Indians have once again shown their affinity to crossovers in July 2021 as SUV sales improved well

SUV sales improved yet again in July 2021 and like in the months gone by it was the Hyundai Creta which was the best-selling SUV of the lot.
A total of 13,000 units of the Creta found new homes last month, while second-placed Kia Seltos registered sales of 6983 units during the same period.
Mahindra retailed 3855 units of the Scorpio and MG sold 3565 units of its Hector range. Following close by was the Alcazar from Hyundai with 3001 unit sales.
Tata Motors’ Harrier was driven home by 2666 new buyers this past month, and during the same period, Maruti sold 1972 units of the S-Cross.
The Skoda Kushaq, a new entrant to the segment, found 1822 new homes, while the Tata Safari recorded sales of 1821 units.
Occupying tenth position in the July 2021 SUV sales chart is the Jeep Compass, 909 units of which got sold during the month. The XUV500 from Mahindra was not far off with 891 unit sales.

Sales of models in the premium SUV segment increased in July 2021 and this time around, it was the Toyota Fortuner (1789 units) which was on top of the small pile.
Ford shifted 1024 units of the Endeavour this past month, while MG Motor India retailed 363 units of the Gloster during the same period.
The Tucson from Hyundai registered sales of 111 units, and at the same time, Mahindra sold 44 units of the Alturas G4, while the C5 Aircross from Citroen found 40 new homes.
