Ford has rather silently revised the variants and consequently the asking price of the base model of the 2021 Endeavour
Ford has revised the variant lineup of the Endeavour in July 2021 and the SUV’s asking price now begins from Rs. 33.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The base Titanium 4×2 variant that was retailed for Rs. 29.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) is gone and thus, the SUV is offered in only 2 variants – Titanium+ (in both 4×2 and 4×4 forms) and Sport – now.
This has resulted in the SUV being offered with all the bells and whistles right from the base variant. As standard, it comes with features such as 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, 8-way power adjustable front seats, handsfree power tailgate, panoramic sunroof, semi-auto parallel park assist and cruise control, to name a few.
On the outside, the Endeavour features Bi-LED (auto) headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lights, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch alloy wheels, and all-wheel disc brakes.
All variants are powered by a 1996cc diesel engine that puts out 170 PS and 420 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The Endeavour weighs between 2310 and 2415 kg (wet).
For the past couple of months, the Endeavour has been besting the Toyota Fortuner and it has to be seen if this variant revision will affect the sales of the American brand’s product.
Apart from the Fortuner, the car also rivals the MG Gloster, Hyundai Tucson, Citroen C5 Aircross and the Mahindra Alturas G4, while 3 more SUVs, from Skoda, Volkswagen and Jeep, will also join the race in due course of time.
