Sales of sedan models recovered well in June 2021 compared with the same period last year

Maruti’s Dzire took the top spot in the compact sedan sales chart for June 2021, with 12,639 unit sales and a 117 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth.
The Aura from Hyundai came a distant second, having recorded sales of 3126 units, while the Honda Amaze (1487 units), Tata Tigor (1076 units) and Ford Aspire (120 units) followed suit.
Overall, the vehicles in the segment registered sales of 18,448 units collectively, which is a 133 percent YoY sales growth.

The Honda City, which had a slight slip up in May, bested its competition to occupy the top spot of the C-segment sedan sales chart in June 2021.
While it recorded sales of 2571 units, the Hyundai Verna was not far off, with 2181 unit sales. However, the other cars in the June 2021 C-segment sedan sales list, did not fare well.
Total sales of vehicles in this segment stood at 5991 units with a strong 89 percent YoY growth.
