Looks like the official launch of the 2021 KTM RC 200 is finally close by
KTM is likely to launch the 2021 RC 200 in the market by this month, as development work on the motorcycle is done, recent developments suggest.
This is in-line with an earlier report, which came out in May, that claimed the Austrian brand is looking to launch its RC 200 and RC 390 supersport machines in the July-August period in India with unofficial bookings for both bikes having already begun.
Sporting the firm’s latest design language, which makes it look rather sporty from the side and less so when looked head-on, the 2021 KTM RC 200 will feature a new chassis and subframe.
One of the most important changes KTM has made to the machine is provide it with more relaxed riding ergonomics, which should make many a motorist happy.
But, the pillion seat is as tall and narrow (as before) and should be reserved for short rides alone. Also new for 2021 would be supersport bike’s wheels (which look lighter) and brakes (the front disc looks bigger).
In addition, spy shots have also shown us that the motorcycle will feature the 250 Adventure’s LCD display which does not come with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.
Powering the motorcycle will be the Duke 200’s 199cc single cylinder motor that is good for 25 HP and 19.2 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
When the 2021 KTM RC 200 launch takes place, its asking price will be revealed and do not be shocked to see a sticker price of around Rs. 2.2 lakhs (ex-showroom).
