BMW – BMW Motorrad has teased the BMW M 1000 RR in India, launch expected very soon. It is a lighter and faster version of the S 1000 RR. It is the first motorcycle in the BMW Motorrad stable to get the ‘M Performance’ treatment. Powered by a 999cc 4-cylinder engine producing 209 BHP at 14,500 RPM and 113 Nm torque at 11,000 RPM.
Triumph – Triumph Trident 660 launch confirmed in India for 6th April. Bookings of the bike have commenced across the country. It is expected to be priced at around Rs. 7 lakhs (ex-showroom). Powered by a 3-cylinder 660cc engine producing 80 BHP at 10,250 RPM and 64 Nm torque at 6250 RPM.
Tata – The new generation Tata Safari is the official partner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The IPL will begin on 9th April in Chennai. The flagship SUV of Tata Motors was launched last month. It is available with both 6-seater and 7-seater options. The high viewership of the IPL will definitely help Tata Motors build the brand name of their latest SUV across the country.
Car Prices – As we move to the new financial year, carmakers are gearing up to hike the prices yet again from 1st April. Maruti Suzuki has announced 1-6 percent of price hike across their range of cars. Renault, Nissan and Datsun cars will also see a price hike from next month. We believe more carmakers will join this bandwagon. The common reason cited for this price rise is the increase in input costs.
