Jaguar has launched the I-Pace in India with an asking price of Rs. 1.06 crores (ex-showroom, India), today, marking the beginning of its electrification journey in the country.
Measuring 4682 mm long with a wheelbase of 2990 mm, the EV has been designed to slice cleanly through the air so as to go the extra mile on a single charge.
It has a sharp profile and evokes many design cues seen on Jaguar’s petrol-powered performance cars. The EV’s LED lights, pronounced wheel arches, crisp rear section and sporty bumpers all provide it a performance car appeal.
On the inside, the Jaguar I-Pace price not only gets buyers a luxurious interior, but also many of the latest kit like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, new Pivi Pro infotainment system, wireless device charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, auto-dimming IRVM that doubles up as a display for the rear-facing camera, and more.
Equipped with software over-the-air (SOTA) functionality, the I-Pace also features powered front seats, gloss black trim finisher, leather steering wheel, metal treadplates, powered tailgate, 3D surround camera, and a panoramic sunroof. There are several optional features that can fitted to the EV that will be available in S, SE and HSE variants.
Equipped with a 90 kWh battery, the I-Pace’s electric motors put out a maximum power output of 294 kW (400 PS) and 696 Nm of peak torque. The EV can do the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 4.8 seconds, has all-wheel-drive and it can cover 470 km (WLTP) on a single charge.
The Jaguar I-Pace price also gets customers a home charging cable and a 7.4 kW AC wall mounted charger. The latter will be installed by Tata Power at the buyer’s house.
Jaguar states that its 22 retail outlets across 19 cities are now fitted with over 35 EV chargers that are a combination of 7.4 kW AC chargers and 25 kW DC chargers. Also, I-Pace customers can also access Tata Power’s EZ Charge network charging points on a use and pay basis.
Being a Jaguar, the I-Pace is setup to handle the twisty stuff, thus it gets double wishbone suspension at the front and integral link suspension at the rear. In addition, there are the Jaguar Drive Control (Eco, Comfort, Dynamic, Rain/Snow/Ice) and All Surface Progress Control features offered with it as well.
Moreover, the EV comes with a 5 years service package, 5 years roadside assistance package and 8 years or 1.6 lakh km battery warranty.
